-Max's POV-

I wake up with my head spinning so much to the point that I end up throwing up and struggle to even sit up. I reach for my phone and turn it on, surprised to see that it was already past noon.

The longer I stared at my phone the worse my migraine got, so I decided to just lock it again and lay back down.

Everything was still spinning and the pain wasn't letting me rest my eyes. I decide to try and find some pain killers, but as soon as I put pressure on my knee I felt like I had been stabbed.

I fall back into the bed, giving up on attempting to do anything.

Buzz

I grab my phone and turn the screen on.

Tim: you alright?

Me: ...yeah sure. I just woke up and threw up, but I think I'm fine. is ross alright?

Tim: uh... yeah.

Me: tim.

Tim: no, he's pretty upset and worried about you.

Me: tell him that I'm fine.

I had the perfect opportunity to ask for help, but I didn't want to give them the trouble of driving home, especially in traffic.

Using the wall as support, I eventually stand up and somehow limp to the bathroom. I try my best to ignore the splitting pain in my leg and head as I open a cabinet and look for painkillers.

I have a hard time reading the labels, but I eventually find what I need. I take a few pills then drink some water out of the faucet.

I start to feel a bit better as I head back to my bed, but I end up tripping over something and falling onto the floor, hitting my head on what I assumed was my bed frame in the process.

"Shit..."

I try to get up, but my head's spinning even more now as I feel myself loosing consciousness. My arms finally give out after a few second of trying to life myself up.

"Ross..."

-Ross' POV-

I grab my things and immediately run to the car, not even bothering to wait for Tim as I hop into the passenger's seat.

I had spent the rest of the day recording some videos, which helped me a bit but I still couldn't help but worry for Max as I felt time going by slower and slower.

Tim finally gets in the car and we start driving home. But as we grow closer and closer, I feel a sinking feeling in my stomach.

"Ross, you okay? You don't look too good." Tim asks.

"I- I have a feeling that something bad is going to happen."

"What do you mean?"

"I don't know. I just have a feeling that something is wrong..."

"Don't worry about it, everything will be fine."

We finally arrive home, to where I quickly run up to our apartment and head inside. I open the door expecting the worst, but everything seems to be fine as KP approaches me, purring as usual.

"Max?"

No reply. I quietly head to his room, looking out for anything unusual or suspicious, but everything seems to be fine.

I knock on his door, to which I get no reply. Assuming he's asleep, I slowly open the door, expecting to see him wrapped up in his blankets.

Instead, my face flushed as I immediately drop my bag and run to his side.

"Max? Max?!"

I roll him over to his side to see that he had a large cut on his forehead, and he was unusually pale.

"Ross what the fuck are you yelling about- HOLY SHIT."

"Call an ambulance or something!"

Tim rushes to grab his phone as I continue to stay by Max's side.

"Why didn't I stay home? I'm such an idiot."

Tim comes back with a wet cloth and on the phone as he tries to clean up the cut, while I watch while also trying not to cry.

"Ugh..."

I'm startled by the sudden noise from Max. I watch as he slowly opens his eyes and immediately brings his hand up to his forehead.

"Don't touch it Max. I'm cleaning it. We're calling an ambulance, okay?"

Max nods as he closes his eyes again. I could tell that he was in pain. I rub his back in an attempt to help him.

"What exactly happened?" I and.

"U-Uhm... I'm trying to remember... I think I had gotten up to get something and as I was heading back to bed I tripped and passed out."

I frown as I grab his hand and squeeze it. I hated myself for not being there, but at least I was there now.

Tim leaves the room and continues talking on the phone as I continue to hold his hand, while also holding the cloth to his forehead.

"Alright, the ambulance is here. Let's go."

so I'm making a love live! x skymedia & friends AU and I'm gonna post a bit about it here for anyone thats interested

Love Live! School Idol Project is about a girl named Kousaka Honoka who forms in idol group called μ's to keep her school from shutting down by attracting students. There are nine girls in the group total, and a rival group named 'ARISE' that has three girls. you can google it to learn more!

these are who I've assigned everyone as:

-μ's-

(2nd Year) Honoka Kousaka - Adam (she's very energetic and enthusiastic, I couldn't see Adam as anyone else in the group)

(2nd Year) Kotori Minami - Ross (clothes designer for the group, childhood friend with Honoka. mom is the head chairwomen of the school)

(2nd Year) Umi Sonoda - Max (stubborn, does archery, childhood friend with Honoka & Kotori)

(1st Year) Rin Hoshizora - Barney (acts like a cat 24/7 and says 'nya' a lot, figured Barney would fit her because he can just say 'bong bong' or whatever. she's also very energetic)

(1st Year) Hanayo Koizumi - Red (constantly watching over Rin, also her childhood friend. is scared to be an idol at first but is eventually convinced)

(1st Year) Maki Nishikino - Alex (we don't know much about Alex but I think he fits her role. Maki's a rich tsundere who is kind of detached from the group but eventually grows closer)

(3rd Year) Nico Yazawa - Tim (kind of a brat sometimes and is very self-centered. I think Tim fits her best. I named my cat after her.)

(3rd Year) Eli Ayase - Corey (no, not camera face. corey as in camera man corey.)

(3rd Year) Nozomi Tojo - Scott (both Nozomi and Eli are like the moms of the group, constantly watching over them. I figured since they do a lot of important stuff at the office they could fit this roles)

-ARISE-

Tsubasa Kira - Jess (leader of ARISE. is a fucking goddess just like Jess)

Anju Yuuki - Shelby (is adorable as hell and has a high-pitched voice. perfect for shelby)

Erena Toudou - Alesa (gives of a cool vibe. I feel like she fits her)

I haven't figured out the roles for Honoka & Eli's little sisters yet, so some suggestions for them would be appreciated.

and yes, of course, I kind of put these roles based on the main shippings.
the main pairings are:

the ships don't become canon of course, but there's a lot of moments that just make you go 'wow I ship them so hard'

I really want to write a fanfic with this, where I pretty much follow the plotline of the anime and only change a few things. there's two season and an movie, so I could make three books or something? idk. tell me what you think! also skymedia in the outfits they wear?? would be?? fucking adorable????? I already drew ross in one of them and might post it lol

-Red's POV-

It was a hot summer day in California, which wasn't a surprise at all. As usual, I was sitting at my desk in my apartment with the air conditioning on high, waiting for something interesting to happen.

I sip on some water as I listen to the cicadas. My bedroom was dark, being the fact that I had the lights off and the blinds were closed. The only light was from my dim computer screen, where I had twitter open that I aimlessly scrolled through occasionally.

My headphones were off to the side of my desk, but I had left my music on and could faintly hear a song playing.

I'm startled from the sudden sound of a Skype message, to which I respond by slipping on my headphones and opening the window. I eye the sidebar, looking for the source.

The orange '1' was next to Adam's name, which was quite surprising considering the fact that I hadn't spoken to him in a few months. I click the conversation and read the message.

"Hey Red! I know we haven't spoken in awhile, but I was wondering if you would like to join a call with me and some friends!"

I sigh as I sit there for a minute, contemplating whether I should join or not. There was nothing else for me to do, so I type out my response.

"I would love to! Do I know everyone there?"

Adam is typing...

"You know everyone but one person! He's someone I went to school with."

"Alright, go ahead and add me."

I adjust my mic as I sit up, taking another sip of water. After a minute or two, I receive an invite to join the call. I take a deep breath as I hit accept.

I'm greeted with a lot of yelling as I read the names on screen. The people in the call were Adam, Jin, Jess, and someone named 'Barney'.

"Hey Red! Haven't talked to you in forever!" Adam greeted in a cheery tone.

"Hey Adam. Sorry if I'm a bit quiet, caught a cold."

"Oh, it's fine! Barney, why don't you introduce yourself?"

"Heys Reds! I'ms Barney, nice to meets you!"

The man spoke in a thick accent that was a bit hard to understand, to which I couldn't help but responding with a giggle.

"Nice to meet you Barney!"

I decide to listen in on the conversation before speaking anymore. Jess and Jin started talking about some anime while Adam and Barney seemed to be discussing an idea for a video.

From what I heard, Adam was now running a company called SkyMedia which included him, Jin, Barney, Ross, Max, and some other people I hadn't heard of before. I couldn't help but be jealous as they discussed ideas for challenge videos.

"What do you think Red? Any ideas?"

I'm startled by the sudden call out from Adam as I quickly try to come up with something.

"Uhm.. maybe a bean boozled thing? Those seem to be popular right now."

"Oh! Great idea!"

They continue to discuss the challenge as I start to play with my pen, when suddenly I hear a notification from Skype.

Barney has accepted your contact request.

I smile in response and am about to click another window when I see a message being typed out.

Barney is typing...

"Heys dude! Sorrys if yous are feeling a bits left out "

I take another sip of water and adjust my headphones.

"It's alright! I have nothing else to do besides sit in this call, so it's fine."

Barney is typing...

"Okays, goods. Do yous haves a Twitter?"

"Yep! It's RedVacktor "

Barney is typing...

"Nice! I'll follows you, mine is ThatGuyBarney."

I open Twitter and type up his user into the search bar.

I could see that he had quite a few followers, most likely a result of Adam. I click on his profile picture, seeing that it was him.

Damn, he's cute...

Suddenly, I see a notification pop up in the bottom right corner.

"New follower: ThatGuyBarney"

After the Skype call was over, I decided to head out to eat as usual. Since I lived alone, I never really found a use in cooking since it would only be me.

I head to a fast food restaurant nearby, to which there was a decent sized line.

Buzz

I pull out my phone to see that I had a text from Adam.

"Hey Red! Sorry if you felt a bit left out of the call, I should have considered the fact that you don't work at the offices."

"It's fine! I just got some work done and talked to Barney in our private chat."

"Oh good! I'm glad that you two are friends. He may seem a little weird but he's one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet."

"I can tell haha. Anyways, I'm about to eat, so I'll talk to you later."

"Alright! Bye."

I order my food then I'm out the door and back to my lonely apartment.

The summer heat was taking a toll on me, as my air conditioner was broken and the fans that were scattered around the apartment didn't do much.

I decide to just lay down on my couch, one of the cooler places in the apartment. I sigh as I reach for the remote and turn on the television, where I end up watching whatever was on.

I find myself thinking about Barney. I wanted to talk to him more. He seemed really sweet, someone I could trust. Adam had obviously had known him for a long time, so had had to be a good person.

Buzz

I receive another text.

"Would you like to Skype with us again tomorrow?"

-Ross' POV-

"Max? Hello?"

I arrive home with a bag of groceries, since Tim had sent me to buy some. I convinced Max to stay home, since he still needed to recover.

I stand in the hall next to Max's door for a few seconds, becoming worried as I didn't get a reply.

Maybe he's asleep...

I quietly turn the knob to see a bundle of blankets with the familiar red hair sticking out. I sigh in relief as I turn off the light, slipping out of my shoes and jacket as I sit on the bed next to Max.

I lay my hand on his forehead, checking to see if he had a fever. His head was unusually hot, causing me to panic a bit.

I shake Max a little bit, attempting to wake him up. He groans as he sits up, glaring at me.

"What's up?" His voice was raspy and quiet, also sounding like he was a bit annoyed.

"You're burning up. You okay?"

Max frowns, bringing his hand to his forehead and biting his lip.

"I think I'm okay. I don't think you should sleep with me though, I don't want to get you sick."

I frown at the response as I stand up.

"Alright. I'll check on you in the morning. Goodnight my love."

No response. I open the door and head to my room, where I let myself fall onto my bed as I start to get teary eyed.

I knew that I was overreacting and that he was sick and in a bad mood, but I couldn't help but get a bit upset being separated from him, even if it was just for the night.

I breathe in and out, managing to calm myself down a bit.

Buzz

I'm startled by the sudden vibration from my phone. I pull it out of my pocket to see that I had a text.

"I love you."

I grin as I reply.

"I love you too."

"Morning Tim."

I head into the kitchen the next morning to find Tim preparing breakfast.

"Morning. Oh, by the way, Max says to leave him alone. He's really sick and doesn't want to get you sick."

"WELL SHIT, I HAVE TO CHECK ON HIM-"

"Don't. I gave him his meds and helped him change his bandage. We have to go to work in a few, so sit down and eat."

I sigh in defeat as I take a seat at the table, picking at my food as Tim sits down across from me.

"Ross, you're gonna be fine."

"No I'm not."

"You were the other times he stayed home."

"Not really. I cried a bit every time."

Tim frowns as he reaches across the table, putting his hand on my shoulder.

"It's gonna be okay. I promise."

I force a smile out as Tim leans back. I was holding back tears. I didn't want to upset or annoy Tim, he would probably think that I was being dramatic.

I manage to eat a bit before Tim is pulling me out of my chair, letting me know that we were running late.

"Can I check on Max real quick?" I ask, slipping on my shoes.

"Uh, sure. But hurry. I'll be in the car."

I quickly head to Max's room, slowly opening the door and peaking inside. The ginger was sleeping peacefully, with his blanket lightly on top of him.

I tiptoe into the room, leaning down next to the bed to get a better look at him.

I smile as I move some of his hair off to the side. He had a calm expression on his face, and looked a bit better than the day prior.

I realize how long I'm taking and leave the room, being as quiet as possible as I head to the car.

We arrive at work a bit later than usual, to find that everyone had already arrived. No one was in the greatest mood, it being really early in the morning and all.

I decide to sit at Max's desk for a bit. I play with the little toys on his desk, wishing that he was there.

"Ross, it's time for work."

I look up to see Adam standing next to the desk holding a coffee and some papers.

I once again fake a smile as I set down what I was holding and head to my office. I pull down the curtain on my window and turn on the recording light, to make sure that no one was going to come inside.

I'm tempted to text Max, but I don't want to wake him up or annoy him.

What is wrong with me? I'm being way too clingy...

I suddenly feel tears rolling down my cheeks, resulting in me starting to whimper as I bury my head in my hands.

How does he deal with me? I don't deserve him.

My cries start to grow louder as the thoughts take over. I ignore the knocks on my door as I continue to sob.

"Ross, are you okay? Let me in."

I recognize the voice as Red's. I manage to quiet down a bit, waiting to hear him walk away from my office.

"I'm not leaving. Let me in."

I slowly open the door as I use my sleeve to wipe my face. I'm greeted by Red, who has a worried look on his face.

"May I come in?"

I nod. He heads into the office, closing the door behind him and leaning on it.

"Sit down. Talk to me. What's wrong?"

I explain the situation to Red, resulting in me to start crying again. Red tries to comfort me, but I continue to sob as Barney opens the door.

"Whats wrongs?"

"He's upset about Max."

Barney frowns as he leans down next to me. I bury my head into his shoulder, letting myself let it all out and Red pats my back.

"Its gonna be okays. Trust me."

I nod as I'm handed some tissues, blowing my nose and rubbing my eyes.

"Thanks guys. I needed that."

They leave the office, once again leaving me alone, except a bit calmer this time. I decide to distract myself by watching some anime, since I had already recorded the videos that needed to be done that day.

Eventually, lunch arrives. Tim ends up bringing me some food, while sitting with me as he updated me on how Max was doing.

"He says he threw up a few times, but he's doing alright. We might have to take him to the doctor again though. I'm worried."

All I've been doing is worrying...

-???s POV-

"Welcome to the offices! Let me show you around and introduce you to everyone!"

After recording with him and his group for awhile, my good friend Adam had offered for me to come work for him. They had an extra office, and were looking for someone to fill in for the previous person who was there.

Adam introduced me to everyone. I knew Ross, Max and Barney online but had never actually gotten to chance to meet them in person.

Ross was more than excited to meet me. He immediately jumped out of his chair, hugging me so tight that I had trouble breathing.

Max was just as excited, but seemed to be injured for there were crutches leaning against his desk and he looked like he was in pain. I had to bend down to hug him after he informed me about the problem with his knee.

I met everyone else at the offices, then it was time to meet the person I was the most excited to meet, and that was Barney.

"REDS! HOLY SHIT REDS!" Barney's response to me knocking on the glass window of his office was quite loud, and he immediately hopped out of his chair and opened the door.

I embraced him tightly as I smiled into his shoulder. As soon as I found out that Barney was working here, I knew that I had to accept. Ever since Adam introduced me to him, I had developed a small-now big-crush on him.

"Whys didn't yous tell me that yous were coming!" Barney asks, pulling away and taking my hands.

"A-Adam told me to keep it surprise."

"Hows long ares yous going to be here?"

I laugh at his accent. That was of my favorite things about him.

(A/N: and one of the most challenging things to write)

"Actually, I'm working here!"

"WHAT! YOU'RES THE ONES WHO ADAMS HIRED?!"

I giggle and nod in response. He then leads me to the office next to his and pulls me inside.

"Well, goods news! The office rights next to mines is yours!"

-Max's POV-

I watch from afar as Red and Barney meet for the first time. Barney had always talked about Red and how much he wanted to meet him, so I couldn't help but smile at his reaction.

"How come you didn't react like that when we met?"

I feel Ross' arms wrap around me as I look up to see him with a smirk on his face.

"S-Shut up. I found you annoying then."

Ross laughs as he kisses the top of my head, and I place my hands on top of his.

"How long you think until they get together?" I ask, observing the two hugging for the fifth time.

"A month or so."

Red seemed right at home and he'd only been at the offices for a few hours. He spent most of that time talking to Barney in his office, which wasn't surprising even in the slightest.

Finally, it was time for lunch. We decided to sit in the meeting room that day, which unfortunately meant that I had to walk a bit. Ross ended up helping me, grabbing my crutches and guiding me to the room.

I sat down in between Barney and Ross as everyone else entered the room.

I then face Red, who was sitting on the other side of Barney.

"So, Red, how are you enjoying it here so far?

"I love it here! It's such a nice work environment, and I'm glad that I got to finally meet you guys. Oh, and Barney told me that you and Ross are dating. Is that true?"

I nearly drop my water bottle while Ross starts coughing, earning a laugh from everyone else at the table.

"Yea, they are. It's kind of annoying living with them. I'll just be minding my own business and start hearing-"

"TIM WHAT THE FUCK."

"I'm kidding. They're adorable together."

I bite my lip and Red giggles in response.

"Honestly, I'm not surprised. Barney told me about how much tension there was between you two."

I glare at Barney as he grins.

"I think Red and Barney should date." Scott mumbles from the other side of the table, loud enough for us to hear.

Red literally turns red as Barney laughs nervously, rubbing the back of his head.

"Anyways... Can we eat now? I'm going to starve." Tim suggests.

"So, Red, have you found a place to live yet?"

The day had come to close, and we were finally packing up and leaving.

"Not yet. I'm staying with Barney for a bit, but we're actually planning on finding an apartment to live in, along with my friend Alex who lives here."

"Ah okay. Good luck with that!" I wave goodbye to Red and Barney as I hop into the backseat of Tim's car with Ross.

"How's your leg?" Ross asks, leaning on my shoulder. I take his hand and hold it in mine.

"Feels a bit better. Took some painkillers. Can we just sit on the couch when we get home?"

"Of course."

-Red's POV-

I wave goodbye to Ross, Tim and Max as they drive off.

"Lets go Reds." I turn to Barney as he sits in the drivers seat, as I proceed to hop into the passengers seat.

"Haves fun ats work?"

"Lots. I think working here is going to be awesome."

I scroll through Twitter on my phone, while occasionally stealing glances at Barney as he drives.

I bite the inside of my cheek as my mind starts to wander. When was I going to tell him?

"Reds, yous okay?"

I look up to see him staring at me with a worried look on his face.

"Yous looks sick. Comes on, let's go inside."

We get out of the car as I see the large apartment building that stood before me.

I follow Barney to his apartment, where he takes out his keys and unlocks the door.

The apartment was quite small, which wasn't surprising since he lived alone. I couldn't help but grin as I came to a realization.

I finally got to meet him. He's right here next to me. I'm in his house. I finally had a chance with the man I love the most.
